Exhuming the organic of pure sound from the machine, unleashing the strength of mechanical noise, and exploring the limits within the musical realm have become the driving forces behind NWAR.

The toys used to unleash the chaos include analogue synthesizers, electric guitar and bass, vocals, keytar, some modified or bent machines like the Roland TR808, TR727, tone generators, a Tibetan singing bowl, a laptop, many effects and the occasional sound-producing surprise element.

Some of the past visual accompaniments have included a yo-yo performing tap dancer, a dancer shaving his head, post-modern fashion shows, video projections or immersive installations.

NWAR believes that music has become an important link within the progressing alliance of man and machine. It stands as a key to their eventual cooperation and mutual understanding.

Most of the time, it seems like we're just a concept that the machines are having.
